Gymnastics FAQs
Q: What do we wear to class?
A: Students can wear a leotard w/ or without shorts or comfortable / athletic clothing. Students 6 and up should go with bare feet or can wear specific gymnastics slippers if they prefer. Students 6 and under can go with bare feet or anti skid grip socks.
Hair should be pulled up so that it is away from the eyes and off the neck. A bun, pony tail, pig tails, braid, or other up do are appropriate.
Q: Are there bathroom and water breaks?
A: Students should use the bathroom before the start of class. There are 3 bathrooms in the main lobby. Students should bring a labeled water bottle (water only) into the gym.
Q: What jewelry is allowed during gymnastics / tumbling class?
A: Stud earrings and soft bracelets and anklets are allowed. No: hoop or dangling earrings, rings, watches, or other jewelry that could get hooked while on the equipment or if a coach is spotting.
Q: When can my student move up classes?
Once a student turns 6, they can be placed in a class based on age and skill level. Students may be promoted at any time during the season with coach approval after demonstrating consistent skill mastery. If one or two skills are missing, they remain in their current level until all skills are achieved. If a class is full, students may join a waitlist and continue practicing until space opens. Official evaluations are completed in May/June and emailed to parents in mid-June.
Q: What is the difference between Gym 1 and Gym 2?
A: Gym 2 uses the smaller equipment for kids 6 year and under. Classes in are 40 minutes long, broken into 4 different 10 minute segments including warm-up, tumbling, bars, and either balance beams or vault stations.

Our Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond gymnasts work out 2 days a week. Each practice is 2.5 hours long and is year round July - May. We do not have try-outs for our program since space is very limited. Gymnasts move up from our Bronze program and then continue to advance to the next level.
- Wednesday 5:45-8:15pm

Team
Our Pre-Team introduces young gymnasts to the fundamentals of performance through choreography and routines in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Meanwhile, our Competitive Team, through the Xcel Program, offers a balanced approach to gymnastics, fostering skills like teamwork, self-control, and discipline.
