High Flyers

Ages 6-7

Goal Sheet

 

This hour long class is specially designed for the beginning gymnast. Gymnasts will learn and master the basic core skills of gymnastics on vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. Correct stretching procedures, body positions, and strength training will be highlighted so that gymnasts can build a strong foundation for a safe and meaningful progression of skills. Attire: Leotard or athletic clothes and bare feet. Hair pulled up in a pony tail, braid, bun, etc...

Starbursts (75 minutes) is intended for gymnasts who want to be challenged in a positive and supporting environment. Students will be asked to perform the skills that they learned in the Hot Shot or Starbrights class while beginning to work on advanced gymnastics skills on the vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. There will be an increased focus on strength and flexibility. A variety of important drills will be incorporated into the weekly lesson plans. A gymnast with prior experience must complete an evaluation to register for this class. Attire: Leotard or athletic clothes and bare feet. Hair pulled up in a pony tail, braid, bun, etc...

Super Stars*

Ages 8+

The Super Stars class is  the most advanced recreational gymnastics class we offer and runs 1 hour & 45 minutes. Gymnasts will be able to work at their own pace to obtain all the skills they desire on the vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. Correct skill implementation will be heavily stressed to ensure gymnasts follow proper progressions so they can safely accomplish advanced skills. A gymnast with prior experience must complete an evaluation to register for this class. Attire: Leotard or athletic clothes and bare feet. Hair pulled up in a pony tail, braid, bun, etc...

Beginning / Intermediate Tumbling

Ages 6-12

Goal Sheet

Beginning Tumbling is an hour long class designed for students to learn proper stretching techniques for shoulder, hip, and split flexibility. They will also work on strength training exercises, basic jumps, and important tumbling skills including handstands, bridges, back bends, cartwheels and rolls. Mastering the skills and drills learned in this class correctly will help build a strong foundation for the continued progression of skills offered in the more advanced tumbling classes. Attire: Leotard or athletic clothes and bare feet. Hair pulled up in a pony tail, braid, bun, etc...

Advanced Tumbling*

Ages 7-14

Goal Sheet

Advanced Tumbling allows tumblers to perfect their intermediate level skills while progressing safely to advanced tumbling skills. Tumblers will learn drills and techniques for correctly doing back handsprings, round-off back handsprings and front walkovers. They will also continue to improve their strength, flexibility, and jumps. To join this class tumblers must have completed Intermediate Tumbling or have a skill evaluation. Attire: Leotard or athletic clothes and bare feet. Hair pulled up in a pony tail, braid, bun, etc...
